Surgeon Mahmut Sunay was born in Mersin and lived in Germany until the age of 6 and received his elementary, secondary and high school education in Mersin. After graduating from Hacettepe Faculty of Medicine (English) in 2001, he worked as the Head Physician of Niğde Ulukışla State Hospital for 1.5 years. After completing his military service in Hatay, Surgeon Mahmut Sunay got into Gaziantep University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery and successfully completed his specialization training in 2009 and awarded the title of specialist doctor. Throughout his specialization training, she participated in many certificate programs and various courses related to his specialization.

He completed his State Service Obligation (compulsory service) at Malatya State Hospital.

In 2011, he worked in a private Aesthetic Center in Istanbul / Levent. Between 2011 and 2016, he worked at the Private Lokman Hekim Esnaf Hospital in Fethiye / Muğla. Surgeon Mahmut SUNAY has been providing service in his office in Fethiye / MUĞLA since December 2016. He knows English language well.
